Actor Johnny Depp has described the time his daughter spent at London's Great Ormond Street hospital as the darkest period of his life. In 2007, the then seven-year-old Lily-Rose was admitted to the world-famous children's hospital for nine days as a result of kidney failure caused by E.coli poisoning while Depp was filming at Pinewood Studios.
