Director Ridley Scott says there will be three more 'Prometheus' films which will tie into the events of 1979's 'Prometheus' The filmmaker revealed that his next film, "Alien: Covenant," itself a sequel to 2012's "Prometheus," will be the first of three prequel movies that flow into the events of his 1979 sci-fi horror classic that made a star out of Sigourney Weaver. "Prometheus 1 was borne out of my frustration that on Alien 1 in 1979 - I only did one as I don't normally do sequel," the filmmaker, who turns 78 on Monday, said at a press conference in Sydney, Australia, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski is wanted in the United States for sentencing over the rape of Samantha Geimer in 1977 Polish prosecutors said Friday they would not appeal a court decision to extradite Oscar-winning filmmaker Roman Polanski to the United States to face sentencing for statutory rape. The prosecutor's office in the southern city of Krakow said the October 30 decision by a Krakow court "to refuse to hand Roman Polanski over to US authorities was justified".

The director of such classics as Alien , Blade Runner , Thelma & Louise and Gladiator called for more internationally competitive filmmaking incentives at a level that would allowed him to shoot the hit sci-fi movie The Martian in Australia rather than Hungary.

A former Royal Air Force pilot who risked his life in the air 70 years ago led the tributes as residents at Kingsmead House Care Home and members of the British Army came together to mark Remembrance Day. Maurice Stoneman, 91, a flight lieutenant with 57 Squadron during the Second World War, laid a special British Royal Legion wreath in a private service held at the nursing and respite care home in Mytchett .
