‘Terminator: Genisys’ Writers Sign First-Look Deal With Skydance

Skydance Productions has signed Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier , the writers behind the company's big-budget franchise reboot Terminator Genisys , to a first-look deal. The two-year deal also includes a consulting aspect to it and will tie the writers-producers into various streams of the company's content business.

Sigourney Weaver has told a variety of media outlets that when seeking inspiration to play one of her tough characters, like Grace in "Avatar" or Ripley in the "Alien" series, she thinks of her high school friend Frances Beinecke, who recently stepped down as president of the Natural Resources Defense Council .
