Skydance Productions has signed Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier , the writers behind the company's big-budget franchise reboot Terminator Genisys , to a first-look deal. The two-year deal also includes a consulting aspect to it and will tie the writers-producers into various streams of the company's content business.

Frances Beinecke recently stepped down from the Natural Resources Defense Council, where she started out as an intern and left as president. Sigourney Weaver has told a variety of media outlets that when seeking inspiration to play one of her tough characters, like Grace in "Avatar" or Ripley in the "Alien" series, she thinks of her high school friend Frances Beinecke, who recently stepped down as president of the Natural Resources Defense Council .

Polish prosecutors plan to again question Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski after they received a request for his extradition to the United States in relation to a sex crime from 1977. Polish authorities questioned Polanski last year and released him.

"The Woman in Black " was released in 2012 and was a bit of a pet project put together by director James Watkins, writer Jane Goldman and actor Daniel Radcliffe. But fast forward to 2014 and none of those people are back for the sequel, "The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death," having abandoned the franchise entirely.

Liam Neeson is reportedly attached to star in a remake of the 2008 British prison thriller "The Escapist" for StudioCanal. Sean O'Keefe is writing the screenplay, but no director is attached at present.
