According to Production Weekly, a TV series based on the From Dusk Till Dawn vampire franchise will begin shooting in October in Austin, Texas. As previously speculated, Paranormal Activity 5 is officially moving from this October to 2014 — October 24, to be exact — with the Latino spinoff, dubbed Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, set for January 3, 2014 (a slot previously occupied by fellow “found footage” fare The Amityville Horror: The Lost Tapes, which is now apparently homeless).

That’s because small-screen remakes of horror classics seem to be the next big trend. Earlier this year, we had Bates Motel revisiting Psycho and Hannibal revisiting the Hannibal Lecter franchise, while this fall will witness NBC’s Dracula (not to mention the successful Teen Wolf, the failed attempt at Zombieland and long-gestating shows based on Clarice Starling and the Hellraiser movies), and now there’s word that Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist are the next to be targeted as TV series.
