The Psycho-inspired A&E TV series Bates Motel has been teased for a few months, and now we finally have an official premiere date: Monday, March 18 at 10:00 PM ET/PT. (That will be a busy weekend for horror “reimaginings,” with Carrie hitting theaters the previous Friday.)

Texas Chainsaw 3D revved up its motor and buzzed to the top of the box office this past weekend, earning an estimated $23 million. It’s also on par with recent 3-D horror fare like Resident Evil: Retribution, which opened with $21 million, Saw 3D ($22.5 million) and My Bloody Valentine 3D ($21.2 million), while far ahead of duds like Shark Night 3D ($8.4 million) and Silent Hill: Revelation ($8 million).
