Well, here are two of the most striking horror posters I’ve seen in a while, for better or worse (mostly better): the Kyra Sedgwick-Jeffrey Dean Morgan demonic possession movie The Possession and the Silent Night, Deadly Night remake Silent Night.

The latest Tim Burton-Johnny Depp collaboration Dark Shadows has a lot going for it, but the script isn’t one of them. Luckily, it has, well, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. Read about it in my review of Dark Shadows.

The last we heard of a remake of Roger Corman's cult classic The Little Shop of Horrors, direct-to-video maven Declan O'Brien -- best known for directing Wrong Turn 3 and 4 -- was on board to develop it. Three years later, the behind-the-scenes personnel have taken an immense step forward with word that Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception, 50/50) is now developing a remake of the film, with an eye on starring as the nerdy florist Seymour, whose life is turned upside-down by a man-eating plant.
...7500, the upcoming film from The Grudge‘s Takashi Shimizu that will no doubt be nicknamed “Ghosts on a Plane,” has been bumped from this summer to the rather vague end date of…”2013.” Although there’s already a trailer released for the movie, which stars Ryan Kwanten, Amy Smart, Leslie Bibb, Scout Taylor-Compton, Johnathon Schaech and Jerry Ferrara as passengers aboard a flight who encounter a supernatural entity, it’s not terribly surprising that 7500 is on the movie, considering there is already a similarly-themed “haunting” flick — The Possession — opening on the same day (August 31) and ANOTHER — The Apparition — opening the week before (August 24). While there’s no word yet on a new release date, January is a popular time of the year for genre pics — with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, Scary Movie 5 and Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters having already moved from 2012 to January 2013.

Read about it in my review of The Road, which opens on Friday, May 11, in limited theatrical release (locations here).

On another site, the term "tug the loved ones" might mean something completely different, but within the horror realm, it means that you can utilize the Tugg theatrical demand service to buy tickets to watch the long-awaited Australian horror movie The Loved Ones. The screenings so far are scheduled for June 1 in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Austin and Houston, with possibly more cities to come. However, they will occur only if a certain number of tickets are purchased, so get to spending! After all, this is the only way that you'll get to see The Loved Ones on the big screen; it won't be receiving a standard theatrical distribution.
