7500, the upcoming film from The Grudge‘s Takashi Shimizu that will no doubt be nicknamed “Ghosts on a Plane,” has been bumped from this summer to the rather vague end date of…”2013.” Although there’s already a trailer released for the movie, which stars Ryan Kwanten, Amy Smart, Leslie Bibb, Scout Taylor-Compton, Johnathon Schaech and Jerry Ferrara as passengers aboard a flight who encounter a supernatural entity, it’s not terribly surprising that 7500 is on the movie, considering there is already a similarly-themed “haunting” flick — The Possession — opening on the same day (August 31) and ANOTHER — The Apparition — opening the week before (August 24). While there’s no word yet on a new release date, January is a popular time of the year for genre pics — with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, Scary Movie 5 and Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters having already moved from 2012 to January 2013.
