TNT Developing Show Based on Dean Koontz’s Frankenstein Books

There’s never been a better time for horror television shows, and now TNT is jumping on the bandwagon, developing a series based on Dean Koontz’s Frankenstein books. Much like the recent report of the adaptation of Guillermo del Toro’s Strain books into a TV show, Frankenstein is also coming full circle, having initially been written as a potential TV series but ending up as only a 2004 made-for-TV movie on the USA network starring Vincent Perez and Parker Posey and directed by Marcus Nispel (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th). When it wasn’t picked up as a full series, Koontz turned the story into a series of books — five and counting.
