The Little Horror Movie That Could: Citadel Movie Review

Anytime I hear someone complain that there aren’t any good horror movies being released anymore, I tell them, “You’re not looking hard enough.” Indeed, most of the best horror flicks released every year don’t play at your local multiplex. They’re shown in a handful of arthouse and independent theaters, they air via video-on-demand services, or they go directly to DVD/Blu-ray. Case in point: Citadel, a little Irish film that won the Midnighter Audience Award at the 2012 SXSW Film Festival and packs more punch than most major Hollywood horror releases. Read about it in my review of Citadel, and catch it in theaters this week (You’ll have to wait until January 29 for it to hit home video.).
