Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3-D? How ‘Bout Leatherface vs. Jigsaw?

Although Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes production company has apparently given up on making another Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie, the franchise is far from dead. Twisted Pictures, the company behind the Saw series, is taking over production duties and is planning on continuing the Texan cannibal storyline — not seen since 2006’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning — with a 3-D film to be written by Stephen Susco (The Grudge, Red). And things don’t stop there; the Twisted deal (with distribution through Lionsgate) reportedly is for “multiple films,” meaning the series might have to branch out in order to avoid repetition. Can you say Saw crossover? (Actually, I hope you can’t.)
