Skyline 2 Already Being Developed?

The alien invasion film Skyline doesn’t hit theaters until November 12, but a sequel is already on the drawing board. Since directors Colin and Greg Strause made the film on their own outside of the studio system (thanks to their owning their own special effects company), they have the freedom to greenlight their own sequel. Reportedly, they have a 40-page treatment for Skyline 2 and need only a modest showing at the box office from the first film — which cost a fraction of what its impressive effects appear to cost — to justify moving ahead with the sequel.
