Red State Will Be Available on Demand Before Hitting Theaters This Fall

Kevin Smith’s political horror movie Red State, which enjoyed a brief and successful “touring” theatrical release this past spring, was previously slated for a Labor Day release, but Smith has announced that that date is the film’s “video on demand” opening. It will be made available on demand via Lionsgate starting September 5, followed by a theatrical release (at to-be-determined locations) in October. Lionsgate will also handle the DVD/Blu-ray release, whenever that happens.
