Given upcoming remakes of The Wolf Man and Creature from the Black Lagoon, it should come as no surprise that another Universal monster movie classic, Bride of Frankenstein, has been tapped for a remake. Neil Burger (The Illusionist) is in talks to both write and direct the remake of the sequel, which many believe to be superior to the first Frankenstein film.
I’m a bit skeptical of the remake’s appeal, though, for a number of reasons:
