New Straw Dogs Poster Looks…Familiar

The upcoming remake of Sam Peckinpah’s Straw Dogs now has a poster, and it’s…pretty much the same as the original’s iconic poster. You’d think the filmmakers would want to avoid direct comparisons to such a revered film as much as possible, but then again, you’d think they’d avoid doing a cheesy Photoshop paste job of Alexander Skarsgard in James Marsden’s broken lens. (If it’s broken, why is there a reflection? Oh well.) We’ll see on September 16 whether the film itself is also a hollow imitation of the original.
