It was meant to be a harmless Halloween jape, but has turned into a bit of a Nightmare on Elm Street for the day centre A day care centre has come under fire after a volunteer dressed as Freddy Krueger chased terrified children through the playroom as part of a Halloween prank. The clip shows a group of children sitting on the floor for a spook-themed story time, before a man in a Freddy mask and striped jumper appears and begins growling at the youngsters.

No movie is without precursors, though, whether that means Doctor Strange feels like a remake of Iron Man or is sort of actually a redo, albeit with barely any plot similarities, of the 1978 TV movie Dr. Strange . It is visually reminiscent of Inception , which director Scott Derrickson acknowledges, but at its foundation is just a story adapted from a comic book and a look inspired by the source material's artwork, specifically that of the title character's creator, Steve Ditko.

From the first moment one walks into American Repertory Theater of WNY's production of Halley Feiffer 's "How to Make Friends and Then Kill Them", there is a sense that what will transpire on stage won't be your typical theater presentation. Audiences are funneled through a red-door set entrance and onto a thrust stage, designed with a curious center "X" to mark the spot, while the minimalistic non-proscenium set features shelves filled with what appears to be playthings .
