His name is so synonymous with the acting technique that he's co-founded a performance capture studio called The Imaginarium in London. He's also directed a new take on Rudyard Kipling's classic children's tale The Jungle Book in which a galaxy of stars used performance capture to become the story's much-loved characters.

Bend is getting bluer, while Democrats are narrowing the gap with Republicans in other populated parts of Deschutes County, precinct-level election results released last week by the county clerk's office show. Voters in Bend elected three Democratic women to the City Council and boosted Democratic Congressional candidate Jamie McLeod-Skinner to a victory in Deschutes County.

Watching Sisters , Brian De Palma's 1973 psychological horror film , is like meeting your best friend's parents for the first time and suddenly understanding something about you friend that couldn't have known otherwise - where they came from, and how far they've come. A relatively early entry in de Palma's long and storied career, Sisters features plenty of the style he would become known for, with eyes firmly on Alfred Hitchcock.

Peter Jackson and producing partner Philipa Boyens accomplished quite the task by bringing J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved fantasy world of Middle-earth to life in the incredible Lord of the Rings trilogy, and to a lesser extent, The Hobbit trilogy. Now the producing team is trying to kickstart another literary saga in the form of Mortal Engines , based on the book series of the same name by author Philip Reeve .
