Hippies of the Corn: The Fields DVD Review

Given her track record, you wouldn’t think any horror movie starring Tara Reid would be worth viewing, but The Fields is different. For one thing, Reid appears on screen for only 10 or 15 minutes (Cloris Leachman is more of the headliner.). For another, it doesn’t feature killer snakes or any creature with “Mega” in its name. Rather, it’s a slow-burning period piece (set in 1973) that focuses on mood and character dynamics, a refreshing change of pace that’s not without its flaws.
