At last, Ridley Scott’s Prometheus is here, and I know what you’re wondering: is it or isn’t it a prequel to Alien? Well, I’d call it a tangential prequel, one that has enough of the familiar horror elements from that film and its sequels to satisfy fans but nestled inside a more introspective (and visually stunning) sci-fi mystery not unlike an interplanetary episode of The X-Files.
