I, among many, was initially a bit skeptical when I heard that there was going to be a TV show based on the Michael J. Fox comedy Teen Wolf, but the first season of the MTV series was a pleasant surprise, featuring engaging, if occasionally melodramatic, storytelling comparable in style and quality to that of the more heavily hyped The Vampire Diaries.
