Brad Anderson Takes Over for Schumacher on Serial Killer Thriller The Hive

The upcoming film The Hive, a not-exactly-“buzzed”-about thriller that seemed destined for uninspired, direct-to-video status, has just received an upgrade. Director Joel Schumacher — whose schizophrenic career has included strong entries like The Lost Boys, Phone Booth, Falling Down and A Time to Kill that have nearly been overshadowed by his two awful entries in the Batman franchise (Batman Forever and Batman & Robin) and whose recent releases has been dominated by flops (The Number 23) that never reached the theater (Blood Creek, Trespass, Twelve) — has dropped out of The Hive and replaced by Brad Anderson.
