It seems that the Bloody Disgusting Selects series might have abandoned its initial plan of showing indie horror movies in select AMC Theaters locations. After sending six films to the big screen in 2001, its December release, Chop, went straight to DVD, and now comes word that the series’ next two entries will likewise head directly to home video. Those two are Outcast (February 21), a British film about a mother and son on the run from a mysterious man, and The Pack (March 6), a French film about a kidnapped woman who finds herself on the menu for a group of hideous creatures. Although the cinematic experience is nice, I’m just glad the series is still going strong, and I hope it continues to release quality genre movies — regardless of where they play.
