Acclaimed Citadel Gets a Halloween Release

With its limited distribution, the Irish horror movie Citadel will likely get little notice when it opens on October 26 opposite Silent Hill: Revelation and a week after the juggernaut known as Paranormal Activity 4, but it’s one of my more eagerly anticipated films of the year. It’s about an agoraphobic man who must venture outside to save his family from a (potentially supernatural) hooded gang, and won the Midnighter Audience Award at this year’s SXSW Film Festival, so at the very least, it’s a crowd pleaser.
