We last reported in 2012 that Black Dynamite leading man and co-writer Michael Jai White was planning a sequel to his 2009 blaxploitation spoof, planning to switch characters and genres while retaining the original creative team. Now White has posted an explosive new teaser for Black Dynamite 2 to Twitter with the phrase "Black Is Back" and a 2018 release date.

It's fair to say that Jurassic Park actor Laura Dern is having a bit of a moment, with recent scene-stealing turns in HBO's Big Little Lies, Twin Peaks, Star Wars sequel The Last Jedi, Downsizing and upcoming Sundance favourite The Tale all reminding the world what a terrific talent she's always been. Eager to jump into the cinematic universe game, last year Universal launched the Dark Universe , a shared world filled with the studio's classic monsters. The first movie out the gate was The Mummy , and while the reboot did okay for itself commercially in the overseas box office, it failed to impress stateside and was met with mostly negative reviews.

Twentieth Century Fox has made a three-year, first look deal with Ryan Reynolds' Maximum Effort that includes a reboot of the film Clue , according to Deadline . Reynolds' company will produce the film, based on the Hasbro board game, with Allspark Pictures, which is the film division of Hasbro.

If you haven't been to a Madame Tussauds in a while, you might be surprised to find that the attractions have ditched the velvet ropes and now allow visitors to get up close with their trademark wax figures of celebrities, sports stars, historical figures, and other notable people. For example, at Madame Tussauds New York, you could strike a pose and snap a selfie with say, Samuel L. Jackson as one-eyed badass Nick Fury, feign terror at the sight of a humungous King Kong, or go retro with Bela Lugosi in full-on "I vant to suck your blood" Dracula mode.
