The Harry Potter movies were being filmed for over ten years, and during that time, we were treated to tons of behind the scenes footage of our favorite cast members messing around and generally being adorable on set. From what we saw, everyone on set, cast and crew alike, got along.

The tagline for director John Carpenter's original 1978 slasher classic Halloween was "The night he came home!" - the "he" in question, of course, being the homicidal Michael Myers. Four decades on, director David Gordon Green's now-in-production reboot of the franchise represents a homecoming for several people, notably Carpenter, who has given his blessing to the project and will likely contribute to the soundtrack, Nick Castle, who played Myers in the first film and will reportedly do so again in this reboot, and Jamie Lee Curtis, who is reprising her role as Haddonfield's second most famous local, Laurie Strode.

On January 23rd, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced this year's Oscar nominees – including Get Out , which earned nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay. The love for the Jordan Peele's across-the-board hit was a rarity for a slew of reasons, including the fact that the filmmaker became only the fifth black man to ever be nominated for Best Director.

Ten days after Harvey Weinstein was exposed as a serial predator, Alyssa Milano, borrowing from activist Tarana Burke's 2006 grassroots movement, sent a tweet before she went to bed: "If you've been sexually harassed or assaulted write 'me too' as a reply to this tweet." By the time she woke, more than 50,000 people had responded with #MeToo tweets.

Jamie Lee Curtis is in Charleston to film the reboot of "Halloween," which will be released in October of this year across big screens. The acclaimed actress, known for her role as Laurie in the original "Halloween" along with her starring roles in movies such as "Freaky Friday," "Blue Steel" and "A Fish Called Wanda," has been spotted around town during her stay, and she'll most likely keep making appearances during the filming process, which could last another month.

King's bestselling novel "Doctor Sleep," which was released in 2013, was previously adapted by Oscar winning writer Akiva Goldsman, but Flanagan is rewriting the script. The sequel to director Stanley Kubrick's 1980 thriller will concentrate on the life of Danny Torrance, the son of writer Jack Torrance, famously played by Jack Nicholson, years after the gruesome events at the Overlook Hotel.
