Oscar Isaac is in line to voice a starring role in the new animated movie adaptation of 'The Addams Family'. The 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' actor will lend his vocal talents to the head of the family, Gomez Addams, if talks with MGM are successful, according to Variety.

Steven Spielberg had to leave a lot out when he turned Peter Benchley's novel "Jaws" into a movie. One deletion was Police Chief Martin Brody's teenage memory of ripping up an Izod polo shirt in disgust and using it to clean his greasy lawn mower.

As part of the show's 40th anniversary celebrations, presenter Fiona Bruce will drop in to The Old Vic pub in the entertainment special which offers a glimpse into the world of movie stars, musicians, theatrical giants and television favourites. Among the items featured are Jack Nicholson's axe from The Shining, a script for the first episode of Doctor Who and key props from the first Star Wars film.

It's a bit early to be calling favorite scenes from Star Wars: The Last Jedi but nevertheless, I have picked mine and they are a bit predictable. No sequence, other than arguably Rey's reflective trip down the pit on Luke's island, struck me as potently dramatic in the same way the scenes within Snoke's throne room felt.

I don't know if anyone is really excited about the prospect of a Lethal Weapon 5 at this point, but apparently the film is "inches away from getting the go-ahead," according to Lethal Weapon franchise director Richard Donner . Donner appeared on the Spocklight podcast and revealed some new details about the impending sequel, which would reunite stars Mel Gibson and Danny Glover : "It's a story I came up with Channing Gibson, the writer who wrote [Lethal Weapon] 4, and I'm just having to work it out with the studio.

Well I write this column looking out on snow for the first time in a long while. We rarely experience it these days and watching some drivers skidding around looking helpless, I guess they are not up to it.
