Thanks to his work on Guardians of the Galaxy and the many laughs to be found in titles like Super and Slither , writer/director James Gunn is well-regarded for his sense of humor -- but that's not really what his latest film, The Belko Experiment , is about. Save for a few moments of comic relief, the movie is a strict, violent, psychological and philosophical horror story that is designed to jangle nerves.

The latest feature film to star giant gorilla King Kong dominated the box office this weekend. "Kong: Skull Island" managed to unseat "X-Men" spinoff "Logan" for the top spot and likely ensured that the enormous simian will appear on screen again -- "Godzilla vs. Kong" is already scheduled for a theatrical release in 2020.

Although the full impact is not yet known, based on estimates 43 per cent of the county's schools would be 'worse off', according to East Sussex County Council. Overall funding for schools is set to increase by 2.7 per cent but county council officers suggested the new national funding formula favoured larger schools.
