Largely considered one of the most prestigious international awards for visual artists, the Hugo Boss Prize is given out every other year and comes with a $100,000 cash prize, as well as a solo exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum. Last night, a buzzworthy crowd gathered at the same uptown museum to see who would take home the top honor.

Friends of the Thomaston Public Library presents the long-running Friday Night Film Series in Room 200 of the historic Thomaston Academy building, 60 Main St./Route 1. The films are screened Fridays at 6:30 p.m. October's movies star Sherlock Holmes, as memorably portrayed by Basil Rathbone in more than a dozen Universal films. The series concludes Oct. 28 with "Dressed to Kill" , a nonrated film that runs 76 minutes.

Ryan McCartan, Laverne Cox and Victoria Justice in The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do The Time Warp Again on Fox. Even though the show earned a "rotten" 32 percent on Rotten Tomatoes , there were a few bright moments in the mostly dull two hours.
