Following last week's production of "A Chorus Line," the Huron Playhouse debuts its second play of the 2016 season this week, "The Birds." The production runs from July 12 through 15 with shows running promptly at 8 p.m. Tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors and $15 for students.

Chicago playwright and House of Cards writer Laura Eason's Sex with Strangers just opened at the Cape May Stage, to be followed by the Neil Simon classic Barefoot in the Park in August. Down the street, Rodgers' Romance , a Rodgers & Hart-based revue, is in full swing at the East Lynne Theater Company, with the gothic drama Dracula on its heels.

Tom Cruise , Russell Crowe and Johnny Depp - all of them over 50 - represent the stars of Universal's growing Monster Universe. Cruise and Crowe will star in "The Mummy," in theaters next summer, and in the spring of 2018 Johnny Depp will lead "The Invisible Man."
