Barry Sonnenfeld has made some fine entertainment over the course of his career. In the 1990s, Sonnenfeld had a terrific run, directing Get Shorty , Men in Black , and The Addams Family movies.

The world can be a trippy place and there's no crazier place than the world of dreams. Hollywood has tried to make its foray into the dream world several times but the result are usually less than stellar.

When it comes to the gangster film genre, there are several directors that immediately come to mind such as Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola and Sidney Lumet. One director that is no stranger to the gangster genre, is the subject of a new insightful documentary by Noah Baumbach and Jake Paltrow called De Palma about director Brian De Palma.

News that Don Dohler's cult favorite The Alien Factor is arriving on Blu-ray next week somehow slipped through the cracks amid the flood of recent b-movies to Blu announcements of late. Fred Olen Ray's Retormedia is behind this limited edition release of Dohler's 1978 homage to 1950's sci-fi creature features.
