Geordie film The Stagg Do will celebrate its DVD Release with a launch party at the Tyneside Irish Centre in Newcastle . Fans helped The Stagg Do by supporting a crowdfunding campaign to get the film BBFC classification and onto DVD for distribution.

Wes Craven, acclaimed director, writer and producer, passed away on August 30, 2015 at the age of 76. Craven left four decades' worth of work behind before succumbing to brain cancer, and while not every project was scary - 1999s Music of the Heart was an acclaimed drama co-starring Meryl Streep - most of them were, and his movies are among the most seminal contributions to the horror genre. A flurry of obituaries on Craven quoted one of his most famous observations about his craft: "Horror films don't create fear.

I'm sure that whenever anyone thinks of Fay Wray, they think of "King Kong". But she had a lengthy career in films and moved easily into television, where she created characters for such shows as: 'Perry Mason' 'Hawaiian Eye' 'Wagon Train' '77 Sunset Strip' 'Alfred Hitchcock Presents' and the TV movie "Gideon's Trumpet" which starred Henry Fonda, Jose Ferrer, and John Houseman.

On Monday August 13, 2012, the Chinese Theatres in Hollywood presented a screening of " A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors " in honor of its 25th anniversary. This event was put together by Mad Monster , a monthly genre print magazine made by and for the modern monster fan, and they ended up giving us quite a show.
