"Steven Spielberg's 'Jurassic Park' is a true movie milestone, presenting awe - and fear - inspiring sights never before seen on the screen," film critic Janet Maslin wrote for The New York Times at the time of the film's release.

In that truncated life this Polish medical doctor had penned the scores for over 40 films, including most of Roman Polanski's up to and including Rosemary's Baby . Simultaneously he was a jazz pianist who did more than anyone since Django Reinhardt to develop a variant of jazz that was overtly European in flavour.

The headlines, the word play writes itself for the fourth entry in the Jurassic series, a hoped-for return to Steven Spielberg's classic, early-90s formula, which would just maybe wipe out the unintentionally comical taste of Jurassic Park III . 20 years or so later, after Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern screamed and stampeded their way through a two-hour theatrical thrill ride, it seems the humans have finally mastered the art of playing god.
