A new zombie television series is on the way from the man who defined the genre. According to Variety , Demarest Films has plans to develop George A. Romero's Marvel Comics series "Empire of the Dead" for the small screen.

Good news out of Cannes for fans of George A. Romero's zombie comic for Marvel. According to Variety Demarest, which backed A Most Wanted Man and Kevin Smith's Tusk , is developing a TV adaptation of Romero's Empire of the Dead , a 15-issue graphic novel published by Marvel Comics.
