The Academy Award, Golden Globe and Emmy award-winning actress will focus on her life growing up in the storied Arquette family, which includes "Pulp Fiction" actress Rosanna Arquette and "Scream" star David Arquette . Arquette will also write about being a single mother at the age of 20 and her experience as a woman in Hollywood.

Deadline reported last week that Gene Simmons, venerable Kiss bassist and shrewd purveyor of KISS-branded merchandise, has partnered with WWE Studios to found Erebus Pictures, under whose aegis Simmons intends to finance and produce what a press release un-improvably describes as "elevated horror movies." The first of these films, according to the Deadline report, "follows a team of highly trained operatives who find themselves trapped inside an isolated military compound after its artificial intelligence is suddenly shut down," which does sound like a spot of bother.

Stage and screen actor Leonidas Frank "Lon" Chaney was born April 1, 1883, in Colorado Springs, Colo. As a vaudeville and theater actor he married Cleva Creighton, and they had one son, Creighton Tull Chaney, who later took the stage name Lon Chaney Jr. Father and son are both featured on separate stamps in the 32 Classic Movie Monsters set issued Sept.

The first of the month is always a holiday for Netflix users, and April is no exception, starting with the cult 2003 film "Underworld," starring Kate Beckinsale as a vampire on the hunt for werewolves. The film would launch a surprisingly successful franchise, with the fifth film of the series currently in production.
