The animated Wellywood remake of the 60s sci-fi puppet show delivers an action-packed start to a series which should thrill the nostalgic and new fans alike, writes Russell Baillie Those of us who loved Thunderbirds in those good old days always saw past the big heads, the wobbly walks and the major disaster scenes done with miniature models. You get the sense from watching tonight's first episode, that for Sir Richard Taylor - whose Weta Workshop and kids tv outfit Pukeko Pictures are behind this animated reboot for Britain's ITV - that Gerry Anderson's old puppet show was to him what King Kong was to Sir Peter Jackson.

I was lucky enough to get a look at the set of the 2015 MTV Movie Awards which are being held in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre on April 12. Just when you thought the movie awards season came to an end with the Oscars, along comes this show which gleefully throws caution to the wind with the promise of an unpredictably wild time. This year's MTV Movie Awards will be hosted by Amy Schumer who stars in this summer's Trainwreck, and it is certain to feature a number of memorable moments such as Robert Downey Jr getting the Generation Award, Shailene Woodley receiving the Trailblazer Award, and Kevin Hart who is being given the Comedic Genius Award.

The confirmed cast for the next series of 'American Horror Story' just keeps getting better, with co-creator Ryan Murphy announcing that fan favourite Kathy Bates will be returning to the show. The Oscar-winning actress will be joining Lady Gaga, Chloe Sevigny, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson and Wes Bentley for the popular horror anthology's fifth series, which, if previous seasons are anything to go by, will be back on screens in October, just in time for Halloween.
