Since he's now 54, one might assume that Penn is drifting into the territory Liam Neeson entered a few years back with a series of action-heavy box-office hits.

Jaume Collet-Serra's Run All Night , a shoot-'em-up about an out-to-pasture hit man desperate to keep his boss and best friend from whacking his son, is humid with testosterone. It's the sort of film where a woman accidentally caught by the camera practically apologizes and scurries away from the lens.

The Gunman tells the story of a former Special Forces soldier and military contractor with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder who must go on the run to clear his name With the Sean Penn-starring action-thriller The Gunman released in cinemas this Friday, March 20, two new clips and a featurette have been released - watch them here. Directed by Taken 's Pierre Morel, and also starring Javier Bardem, Ray Winstone, Idris Elba, Mark Rylance and Jasmine Trinca, The Gunman is based on the novel The Prone Gunman by Jean-Patrick Manchette.

A remake of the Roy Scheider-led 1983 action thriller "Blue Thunder" is in the works with Dana Brunetti set to produce for Sony Pictures. The original film starred the "Jaws" actor as the pilot of an experimental helicopter being used by the LAPD to help control crowds during the 1984 Olympics.

David Arquette was reportedly thrown out of Justin Bieber 's 21st birthday party after getting into a fracas with the pop star. The 'Scream' actor was among the guests at Justin's bash which started at Omnia nightclub on Saturday night and continued until 7am Sunday morning at the rooftop villa at the Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace.
