Good news for those left hanging by the pilot episode of X-Files creator Chris Carter's The After: it's been picked up as a series by Amazon for its video streaming service! Eight episodes of the apocalyptic show have been ordered, and while there's no word yet on a premiere date, this fall seems like a good bet -- based on the schedule of Amazon's biggest success to date, the comedy Alpha House, which debuted a pilot in April 2013 and continued its post-pickup run in November of that year.
