Back in June , we found out that Warner Bros. had traded the rights to the FRIDAY THE 13th franchise back to Paramount.

Great Britain's legendary Hammer Films, having reinvented itself in recent years with high-profile fright films like The Woman in Black and Let Me In, is set to revisit one of its earliest horror efforts, 1957's The Abominable Snowman (released in the US as The Abominable Snowman of the Himalayas). The script for a remake has been penned, but no actors or director are attached yet, as the studio is focusing on the sequel The Woman in Black: Angel of Death, currently in production. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the plot for the Abominable Snowman remake "sees a scientific expedition's illegal ascent of the peak of one of the world's most formidable mountains accidentally awakening an ancient creature." There's no release date planned, but I wouldn't expect it earlier than 2015.
