Paramount and Warner Brothers have been trying to make another Friday the 13th movie since the 2009 reboot but had difficulty getting on the same page, so when the two studios made a deal earlier this year that gave Paramount sole rights to the franchise for the next five years, it loosened the red tape enough to green light a new film in the franchise. The movie, dubbed simply Friday the 13th, is slated to hit theaters on March 13, 2015 (yes, that's a Friday) and is reportedly NOT a sequel, but rather yet another remake/reboot. Rumor has it producers are looking to tap into the trendy "found footage" format this time around, an approach that would no doubt cut costs, but you have to wonder if it would suit this larger-than-life franchise.
