Well, the Season 3 finale of The Walking Dead aired last night, and while it may not have provided everything you wanted, I have to say it was a fitting climax to easily the best season of the series yet — and frankly one of the best seasons of ANY series I’ve seen in a long time. It resolved some story lines, kept others tantalizingly alive and even opened up a few new ones that will keep us speculating for the next six-plus months (ugh) until the show returns in October. What did you think about who lived, who died and who died…and then lived? And what about this season as a whole? Did it live up to your expectations?

Well, World War Z has a new trailer (and a new poster, right), but we still have yet to get a good look at a zombie up close — unless you count Brad Pitt (Zing!). We get a similarly frustrating glimpse of Riddick in its first teaser trailer, though it’s good to see it seems to be channeling more Pitch Black than The Chronicles of Riddick. On a much smaller scale, here’s a look at the trailer for the indie horror comedy Eddie: The Sleepwalking Cannibal, which…is pretty self-explanatory.

B-movie filmmaker Charles Band and killer dolls go hand in hand like Matthew McConaughey and shirtlessness. Ooga Booga, his latest endeavor, purports to channel Django Unchained, but despite its multicultural veneer, it’s just like he rest of his low-brow, pint-sized creations. Whether that’s a good or bad thing depends on how you feel about his body of work. Read about it in my review of Ooga Booga, which is available now at Redbox locations.

Whether you think a series based on the hit movie Zombieland is a good or a bad idea, you’ll get the chance to decide its fate, courtesy of Amazon.com. If you subscribe to the site’s Amazon Prime membership (through which you get online streaming access to thousands of movies and TV shows), you’ll get a chance to view the pilot episode of the previously announced series and vote on whether you’d like to see more. Based on that feedback, the powers that be at Amazon may greenlight additional episodes. (Incidentally, if you don’t want to pay for a chance to see the pilot, Amazon offers 30-day free trials of Prime.)

At last, we have a trailer for Hatchet III, the continuing tale of the deformed, swamp-residing, seemingly impossible-to-kill serial killer Victor Crowley — and it looks…pretty much the other two movies. But that’s a good thing, I guess. The first film, at least, is a cult classic, and hopefully this new entry in the franchise can recreate its magic where Hatchet II couldn’t. We’ll find out soon enough, as Hatchet III has a new release date in the heart of the summer blockbuster season: June 14. As of now, it’s opening only in New York and Los Angeles on that day, but I imagine it will expand into a few other cities at some point.
