Although Screen Gems and Sony are developing their new video game-based horror movie franchise Devil May Cry, they haven’t abandoned their existing 0ne, setting a release date for the fifth Resident Evil film: September 14, 2012. The previous three movies in the series have all opened in September, so this news should come as no surprise.

Fans of The Blair Witch Project, Cloverfield, The Last Exorcism and Paranormal Activity take note: the latest “found footage” horror movie (at least, until Apollo 18 comes out) is on its way, and it comes from Norway. Behold, The Troll Hunter, the tale of a trio of filmmaking college students who stumble upon a man who hunts rock-eating, human-sniffing, sun-fearing trolls.

While the US has been “possessed” by exorcism movies like The Last Exorcism and The Rite, overseas there is Exorcismus, an English-language Spanish production about a teenage girl who’s been doing devilish things.
