LISTEN TO THE WET DOG NOISE!! Our cat had a small dry swollen patch behind his ear possibly from scratching, then we went away for 4 days. When we came back, the patch was a slightly wet scab with a small hole near the bottom that was wet. As the days progressed it didn't look like it was getting worse or better. Then the scab started coming away from in behind the left ear and you could see the huge abcess. We took our kitten (real name) to the vet and they had to do surgery. Kitten is now recovering at home!
