Garry Marshall has passed away at the age of 81, E! News has learned. Penny Marshall , his younger sister, confirmed to CBS News that Garry passed away this evening.

Speaking on The Michael Ball Show on Radio BBC 2, "The BFG" director revealed that he offered his services to direct a Bond film twice but producers didn't feel he was right for the part, reported Digital Spy.
