As ghosts, vampires and zombies continue to thrive at the box office, werewolves remain sorely under-represented (if you don't count the Twilight movies). In fact, the last good werewolf movie to hit theaters was 2011's Red Riding Hood (although some would disagree with how "good" it is), and even that was hardly a hit. Wer seems to have as much box office potential as any in recent memory, in part because it utilizes the hot "found footage" format to tell its tale of a lawyer's attempt to prove that her enigmatic client is innocent of a vicious murder...only to find that he has a hairy, wolfy side.
...Alamo Drafthouse on Slaughter Lane will be showing 'The Craft' October 16th, 'Bride Of Frankentsein' October 19th and 'The Wolfman' October 26th and Alamo Ritz also be presenting 'The Silence of The Lambs' with live commentary by the Master Pancake comedy troupe, who will be skewering the horror classic.
There's nothing better than a bad horror flick. That's the great thing about horror, the movie could be absolutely terrible but you always find an excuse to keep watching.
