After months of anticipation, we finally have our first look at video from Eli Roth's eagerly anticipated return to feature film directing, The Green Inferno. The first trailer is atmospheric and promises an, um, "uncomfortable" viewing experience -- something you'd expect from an homage to the Italian cannibal flicks of the '70s and '80s. Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot of actual footage in the trailer; I guess they call it a "teaser" for a reason. Expect a longer trailer soon, but you'll have to wait until September 5 for The Green Inferno to hit theaters.

Perhaps feeling burned by A Haunted House last year, viewers stayed away from A Haunted House 2 this past weekend, propelling the sequel to only a fifth place finish at the box office with a tally (an estimated $9.1 million) only half of what the first film earned in its opening frame ($18.1 million). That said, A Haunted House 2's production budget was still just around $4 million, so having already earned twice that, it's certainly not a flop, but this makes it much less likely that we'll every see A Haunted House 3 (knock on wood).
