For the benefit of moaning old git film fans who get easily confused, like me, it's worth making clear that Netflix's eight-part The Innocents has absolutely nothing to do with the 1961 movie of the same title, Jack Clayton's brilliant adaptation of Henry James's Turn Of The Screw, with Deborah Kerr as the Victorian governess spooked by her inner phantoms, which remains one of British cinema's greatest ghost stories. True, the new TV show is another supernatural tale shot against moody British backdrops.

The Halloween 2018 release date is fast approaching, as fans prepare for the eleventh installment in the franchise and sequel to the classic 1978 movie. The new movie sees Jamie Lee Curtis returning to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who narrowly escaped with her life when Michael Myers went on a killing spree in Haddonfield four decades ago.

The Royal Navy's newest aircraft carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth , has had a pub installed in time for its maiden voyage to the US later this month. 'Carrier Ale' brewed for the ship's commissioning last year will be among the beers served in the 'Queen's Head' Officially opened on 13 August, the 'Queen's Head' was installed by Wiltshire-based brewery Wadworth in the Warrant Officers' & Senior Rates' Mess aboard the carrier with additional funding from the Royal Navy Royal Marines Charity , Nuffield Trust, BAE Systems and RN Rebalancing Lives.

It's a given that "Jaws" is the ultimate shark movie and has proven, shark movie after shark movie, that it will probably never be dethroned. Human's fascination with the razor toothed sea creature has spawned numerous TV shows and movies from Discovery's popular "Shark Week" annual 'fin'-tastic programing to the campy "Sharknado" franchise.
