With remakes and reboots of franchises certainly not going anywhere anytime soon, neither are the potential haters. Trolls can be as terrifying as jump scares for filmmakers involved in reboots, especially when they're accused of "ruining childhoods" through attacks on social media.

Old school horror icons like Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees have fallen to the wayside a bit as audiences flock to see newer releases like The Conjuring series or IT . There are certainly plenty of great, new horror franchises to keep fans happy, but sometimes you just can't beat the classics.

Australian actor John Jarratt strongly denies sexually assaulting a woman in Sydney during the 1970s, with his lawyer claiming the case will be easily won. NSW police on Saturday confirmed they had issued a 66-year-old man, understood to be Jarratt, with a court attendance notice for the offence of rape.

Prominent Australian actor John Jarratt has been charged with the sexual assault of a woman he lived with in a share house with fellow actors in Sydney's east more than 40 years ago. The allegation dates back to the mid-1970s and comes in the wake of the global Harvey Weinstein sexual misconduct scandal.

After already being honored with a 25-foot statue in London, the actor's "cultlike fandom" has struck again, with a Canadian company now selling a series of four 100-piece puzzles featuring sketches of Goldblum's infamous roles. Jeff Goldblum has long inspired a cultlike fandom that has manifested itself in odd ways - like the 25-foot-tall statue of the actor that appeared in London's Potters Field Park earlier this summer.

Bloody Disgusting has given us the first look at Laura Vandervoort as Rose, the main character in Rabid , itself a remake of David Cronenberg's 1977 classic.
