Check out the first annual South Carolina Underground Film Festival this Saturday

Held at the former location of the Park Circle Film Society, the first annual South Carolina Underground Film Festival inspires to continue the tradition of featuring indie films in the Lowcountry. Co-creators Tommy Faircloth and Robert Zobel, who also founded Charleston's annual Crimson Screen horror film fest, created this festival with the intention of featuring South Carolina filmmakers.

Former soap opera actor Nathaniel Marston died after being seriously injured in a car crash, his representative confirmed. He was 40 years old.

Born July 23, 1989 in the Fulham area of London, Radcliffe made his acting debut when he was 10 years old in title role in the 1999 BBC One production of “David Copperfield.” Radcliffe's first film was the 2001 spy thriller “The Tailor of Panama.” Since completing the “Harry Potter” film series in 2010, Radcliffe has appeared on Broadway in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” and “The Cripple of Inishmaan”; on screen in “The Woman in Black,” the highest-grossing British horror film, and on British television in the four-part miniseries “A Young Doctor's Notebook” and the made-for-television movie, “The Gamechangers.”

Nathaniel Marston dead at 40: Soap actor starred on ‘One Life to Live’

"One Life to Live" soap star Nathaniel Marston is dead at the age of 40, his mother announced Wednesday night. The actor had been on life support and in intensive care after suffering a broken neck, shoulder, ribs, five vertebrae and other internal injuries in an Oct. 30 car accident near Reno, Nevada.

Carol Doda, who helped introduce topless entertainment, dies

Legendary San Francisco stripper Carol Doda, whose splashy act helped introduce topless entertainment to the city more than 50 years ago, died at age 78. Doda first went topless in 1964 at the Condor Club - a move that changed every nightspot on busy Broadway in San Francisco. During its heyday in the early 1970s, the street in North Beach buzzed with more than two dozen clubs where carnival-like barkers beckoned passers-by to watch bare-breasted dancers.
