Glasgow's film festival is to bring live sword fighting a leading London "fetish" club into its programme next year. The Glasgow Film Festival is to hold special screenings of three films, The Lost Boys, The Princess Bride and Secretary.

Disney promised a new "Star Wars" movie every year after it acquired Lucasfilm, and the saga keeps on keeping on with "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." But while many would call themselves "Star Wars" fans, even they will admit that the movies in the saga are by no means created equal.

Vernon is about to be seen on another big screen when film, The Recall , starring Wesley Snipes, makes its Okanagan premiere. Filmed in the Vernon area this summer, The Recall , produced by Minds Eye Entertainment, will make its Okanagan cast and crew premiere at the Kelowna Fan Xpo March 25. More than 200 invited guests involved with the film will reunite for the red carpet at the Kelowna Community Theatre, said Bonnie Gratz, artistic director of New Vintage Theatre and KFX.

The 'Underworld' creator is writing a six-issue comic book about the origins of DC's Amazons, launching January 2017. Next June, movie audiences will get their first chance to visit Themyscira and meet the Amazons who live there - the home of the tribe of immortal women who gave the world Wonder Woman.

And for a few days, usually around this time year, that coolness pulls into the Javits Centre on the West Side of Manhattan for the New York Motorcycle Show. We haven't attended the show in past years, but for the 2016 installment, we decided it was time an made our way over to Javits to see if two wheels really are better than four.

Before the trailer for Guardians Of The Galaxy was released back in the summer of 2014, some naysayers were speculating that the blockbuster could be a flop for Marvel. That's because the comic which it is based upon was very much a cult commodity, Chris Pratt was primarily known as the fat funny man from Parks & Recreation , and James Gunn's previous films Slither and Super , while superb, had both failed to haul back in their gross at the box office.
