When asked in an exclusive interview with Empire magazine if fans could see a younger Ripley during a possible series of movies that will eventually catch up with the storyline of the hit 1979 science fiction thriller, director Ridley Scott gave an affirmative response. In a previous interview, Scott gave the smallest of hints about bringing the popular Ripley character alive through computer generated images sometime during his Alien prequels.

MORE than 200 jobs are being created in and around Stafford as big brands announce store openings and old favourites expand. Discount supermarket Aldi will create 40 jobs when it opens at the empty Kingsmead development in the autumn while Homesense, which is likely to open at the Queen's Retail Park in June, is taking on 50 workers.

The New York Pops orchestra is returning to Forest Hills Stadium with a concert featuring the works of "Star Wars" composer John Williams, organizers said. The concert, scheduled for June 8, will feature some of the best-known scores written by Williams, who composed music for nearly all of Steven Spielberg's films, from "Jaws" and "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" to "Indiana Jones," "Schindler's List," "Lincoln" and "Jurassic Park."
