Tonight, A&E 's Bates Motel wrapped up its five-season run with the episode "The Cord," and when you think about it that's quite a feat considering how others have tried and failed to expand the universe of Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 classic Psycho . The movie's sequels during the 1980s were met with a lukewarm response by audiences and critics, even though Psycho II featured Anthony Perkins reprising his role as Norman Bates and Vera Miles as Lila Loomis.

Friday The 13th is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 26, Gun Media and Illfonic have announced. Previously delayed to 2017 late last year, the kickstarter-funded survival horror title will be launching digitally for consoles and PC at the end of next month.

Meanwhile, Downton Abbey's Laura Car michael and Oscar winner Vanessa Redgrave will star in another drama Man In An Orange Shirt featuring two family linked gay love stories set 60 years apart.

A few days ago, actor Nathan Fillion seriously puzzled fans with an image posted to his personal social media accounts. The picture featured the actor wearing a very strange get-up while piloting Star-Lord's ship, the Milano, and the message suggested that it was from a deleted scene in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.

We'd just received our latest Netflix DVD, Ewan McGregor's adaptation of Philip Roth's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel "American Pastoral," which came and went last fall with hardly a poof of recognition from critics or audiences. As I held the DVD in my hand, some part of me wondered why filmmakers still bothered.
